These Just Caught My Eye
Camera: K-x Photo Location: Berks County, Pa
Posted By: tpg2, 02-06-2012, 07:13 AM

I was driving home and decided to take a different route, over the mountain instead of beside it. Going up the steep incline, out of the corner of my eye I saw a log house so I stopped and found a gold mine. Hope you all enjoy.
BTW, I posted these photos in color on WPD. Tom

Tom, these are all great, love the conversions and you are right, a "gold mine" for sure. I bet you could take a months worth of photos just walking around. Looks like a "fixer upper" if you have some extra time on your hands.

Glad you like them Susan! When I take shots of these old, antique, abandoned buildings I have both color and B&W images...I like the B&W more! Thanks for looking, Tom.

Thanks BOB! I definitly think that the log house was recently used just by the way it looks and the decent shape it's in. The only problem I run into is when I stop at these places, a lot of times I'm on posted property, I just get out of the car and grab as many shots I can. At this place, there was a "For Sale" sign on the property so I didn't feel as if I was intruding..walked around like I was interested in the sale with a camera, camera bag and tripod.
