Just some winter impressions
Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Fryslân, the Netherlands
Posted By: Fries, 02-06-2012, 02:34 PM

People here got there hopes up for a event that only takes place when there is enough ice on the canals and lakes; the Elfstedentocht. It is a 200 kilometer long ice-skating tour. The last one was in 1997. Regardless of this event it is wonderful to be outside in the cold air and snap some pictures. I hope you enjoy them!

Cheers,

Remco

The first is my favorite.
The B&W treatment serves this shot well.

Nicely done - they all really set a mood of winter and isolation.

Tim, thanks! I tried to emphasise the structure of the snow in the first shot. B&W does that.
