More Birds and Bats from Costa Rica
Lens: DA* 50-135 Camera: K5

Here are a few more from the Boat Tour - well worth the trip I'll tell ya

It was really hard to see this Owl - he blends in so good.

This is something I have never seen before. The reason these bats sleep in a line is to look like a snake - to fool some of their natural predators - ingenious what.

Lighting was harsh sun and shadows but I like this one

Egret on the shore - there were quite a few of these guys.

Dave, you did get your monies worth on the boat cruise, interesting about the bats, learn something everyday. I would of missed the owl, he does blend right in.

Thanks Larry - we have been twice and will get there again for sure. PM me if you are looking for a place to stay - I can offer some suggestions.

You and me both - the beauty of a guide with a flashlight is they can point it out - none of us saw it. Yeah the bat thing was cool I never knew either.

Keep them coming Dave. Love taking trips with other people and seeing things that I only dream about. Nice series of birds and bats and the info on the bats was really interesting as Bob said.

Thanks Susan and I am enjoying the Northern Alaskan trip of yours as well - a fair trade indeed.
