My first few of 2008
Posted By: PaulAndAPentax, 01-01-2008, 07:15 PM

My son and I went for a ride in North Jacksonville today to a coastal area where the ocean meets the Saint Johns River. There are many places to catch shots of Florida's native wildlife. Here are a few of the winners from today. I felt that the third one was my best of the day. It was shot full frame (no crop). These are shot with the Sigma 50-500mm. The two shore birds were hand held from my vehicle and the Osprey was shot using a tripod. That Osprey was REALLY cooperative!

That last shot is stunning.

The first shot looks like a swim wear model posing for the camera.

Cool start of the year!

very good stuff. The osprey is captured at a great moment with the talons out before landing. Great colour and sharpness as well.

I can't resist though. I think we need to take up a collection and send roentarre a few issues of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. I'm a little worried about the models he's been looking at!
