Shot from Sauvie Island. Osprey landing in its nest with a new twig. There is a little one in there but you can't see it in this picture

Yep, same here - it gets crazy down here though, the Chesapeake Bay and Patuxent River is one of the national hotspots for the Osprey (along with about 300+ other species of birds and fowl), owls are all over right now so are Redtails (Hawks) and Bald Eagles...

it was a pleasant surprise we were out there for a picnic and I brought my camera for that but there it was, a big osprey nest. This was actually a little while ago in the summer, sorry I neglected to mention that. Saw it on my flickr and forgot how much I liked it

Quite amazing what must be going through the birds head as it brings back one more branch.
It must have taken some time to get to that stage, so makes you wonder if one more small branch is really needed. I'm sure it is.
