Minimal
Lens: Da*16-50 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: the Netherlands ISO: 200 Aperture: F8

Probably the last day of the 'real' winter weather. The wind has turned and is blowing from the sea bringing more humid and warmer conditions and a strong cloud cover. I tried to work with that and this is the result.

Excellent composition. The snowy landscape with these hairy posts looking like sea anemones the bottom of the ocean....

Love this...real work of art. That's a whole style of shooting ive never had the chance or maybe eye to shoot. Clever!

I love minimalist photos, and this is the best one I've seen in a long while. The composition, combined with an almost colorless scene, really works for me.

Thank you all! Love your sea analogy Bannister! Garbhán don't despair, I was blessed with this chance presenting itself to me this way. I didn't scout the area before (normally there is no ice and I don't own a boat anymore) and the weather was just perfect to get the photo to work as it is. You'll get you're chance. Just keep shooting! Jer, I indeed desaturated the colors a bit and used some other filters in Color Efex Pro to get this result.
