Nice series Jeff. How far away from the subjects? From Borrego Springs to Palm Desert, on vacation or business? Hope you enjoyed time in SoCal....Cliff

Thanks Cliff! The cheetah shot is mildly cropped and the other two are uncropped. I'd guess around 20m for the cheetah and bighorn and 70m for the kudu. Business or vacation: some of each. Was staying with friends in Cathedral City and spent a couple of days touring. We always enjoy visiting SoCal!

Hey Jeff, glad you made it there, I have visited several times and enjoy the leisurely walk around the park and the train exhibit is fun to observe also. All great shots, maybe I will have to go back even again now after seeing these photos. Bob

I considered mine a reasonable deal at US$550, and since then I've seen one go for under US$400 on eBay.

Thanks Bob -- it was your suggestion in December that got me to want to visit, so when I was in the area again I put it at the top of the list. Very nice park and next time I'd like to check out their extensive trail network.

Thanks Susan! That particular kudu was very cooperative. I was more looking for side lighting but this was just enough of an angle and I liked the mood of it. It was fun to come up with a zoo shot that gives a feel of wide open space.

Three nice images, the last one is really good, crop the sky out, print it and hang it on a wall.
