Bob & Heinrich, thanks for looking. Not being a birder I don't have a clue about the species of these two. I can ID a few birds such as owls ,hummers and the like but not these. THL Cliff

Nice shots Cliff.The 2nd one with the stripe over the eye looks like a Carolina wren.--charliezap
I did some further checking and I think that it's a Bewick's wren.
