I think I like summer better...

In the summer you get some really colourful BG's:

but in the winter, nearly everything is dull:

I think the doe likes summer better too.

Nice shots Tom. I like the Does' ears - one turned forward toward you and the other cranked backwards toward another sound.

Well it wouldn't be a winter shot if it had a colourful background, now would it? Next time get the deer to stand in front of a red barn!

Excellent 'De Niro" pose on the doe (aka: You talking to me ??) You could not have framed that any better.

oooh, winter camo!

Quite a winner. That's gotta be a lot of effort to get yourself out there in the places you need to be to get those wonderful captures...

Tom,
Great shots! At least you get enough snow to add a little color to your shots. Down here we hardly ever get enough snow to take pictures in it. Everything just turns dull brown with almost no contrast. I'll post a shot or 2 later so you will know what I mean. Still haven't foud any decent bucks lately. I think they are feeding only at night (guess I need iso 60,000 for moon light shots. LOL)

Two gorgeous photos Tom, thanks for posting them. The doe is a classic but I love that bird shot. I think the doe shot would be even better with a little less blue?

Take care, Heinrich

Only you can take shots with such expression. Beautiful even with winter scenes.
