We hit the Labor Day holiday in Banff and could not get into town at all except for the gardens. Absolutely NO parking anywhere. Maybe that is why Jasper was our favorite.
Anyhow, here are some scenes from the surrounding area and the gardens.

And here is a shot of Banff and the traffic. That is my lovely husband in the foreground (he who is going to buy me a K-5 when we get to Arizona). I bet you are all excited about that!

Beautiful flower shots Susan and you must of been a good girl and behaved on your trip to get a K-5, congrats to you and your husband is quite a guy I would say. Looks like Banff is a bit touristy, maybe too touristy.

Great shots Susan - lovely flowers , Bob Banff is a huge tourist town but it's in the middle of the Rockies and you don't have to travel very far outside for some stunning scenery. A K5 sounds most excellent.

Thanks everyone. I am truly enjoying the K-5 which arrived while we were in Tuscon and I have spent every waking moment doing high ISO bird shots since then.

Could be at times but one of the most beautiful areas in the world. The lakes in this area are killer and you can have Elk go right through your camp site Bob. They have some of the best Camp sites in the world. Cheers and great shots Susan. JIM
