Decided to start to get a bit fitter for an intensive school camp coming up, so I loaded up my camera backpack (also to get some shots of the local area)

This is my first descent bird shot, I think it's a Dusky Moorhen? Purple Swamphen
No editing, just convert to JPEG and reduce for web.

More than decent -- a very good shot. Good composition, excellent lighting, sharp enough focus on the eye and with a nice catchlight there. A Purple Swamphen, I'd say, although I'm nearly half a world away from where either bird is native!

Your right guys it is a Purple Swamphen, I got mislead by googles
