Macro the Snapdragon Forest

Spring has sprung in Palm Springs, CA

I can't say I have seen snapdragons for a long time either. I do remember a yellow variety but never this colour.

Bob, as usual beautiful detail and colour. In Afrikaans we call them "leeubekkies", literally translated as lion mouths, as they look like lions open mouths when they yawn.
I see you use the K-x quite a bit lately, hope you haven't got a problem with the K5?

No Christo, no problems with the K5 at all. What I do is leave the 50mm macro lens on the Kx all of the time and I can't really tell much difference between the two cameras in macro photos. I know there probably is, but for my novice purposes, looks good to me. Thanks for looking and asking, I have to study up on the game of cricket, a different sport for us baseball fans. Bob

Cliff, I hope I have the name correct, that is what they told me at the campground. No matter what we call them, they are quite pretty for this time of year. Bob

Same here Bruce, they were always yellow and smaller. Maybe someone else can chime in and confirm or correct.

Beautiful Bob, it is going to be in the 70's and maybe 80's here for the next few days. My traveling feet are beginning to itch. Pretty soon I'll be griping about the heat. Love the colors of the flowers.

EM, I thought you might notice, I have been playing with f-stops and spot focusing and as I have always noted on your photography, lighting is so important in these macros. The student continues to learn.

Dave, you already had some spring and summer in Costa Rica, that should of helped you get through the winter.
