What the Heck is That?
Posted By: Bob Harris, 02-23-2012, 10:22 PM

I took this series of photos while we were in Colorado last year. What first got my attention when looking at the sunset over Pikes Peak, was several objects that appeared to be falling from the sky and one struck the peak. I then picked up my camera and took some photos of the sky. It appears that a vapor trail may have formed from one object. I never read anything in the local paper or saw anything on TV, but it appeared strange to view at the time. Any thoughts?

hey Rupert, we had a flying squirrel on our porch the other night. He must be a member of Otis' squirrel air force... tell him we've located him, alive and well in Canada.

We actually have 'flying squirrels' here in Australia, but they are called 'Sugar Gliders', a member of the possum family, if I'm not mistaken. They're only little buggers, so they might not show up on this new-fangled digital film.
Regards

This is what we saw... probably not related to Aussie flying squirrels but who knows... our says "rodent" nothing about possums...

Northern Flying squirrel... he was eating seeds from our porch rail that the birds left behind. This is a picture that was on line, I couldn't get a good shot of ours.
