Heading down the coast before going inland and toward home.

Carmel Mission - another gloomy day but I did like these shots

Pacific Coast Hwy

Pebble Beach

Ray was so dying for his golf clubs

Everyone has to take photos of the jellies at the aquarium

I think the first one is the least interesting one, which is too bad because it is the thread thumbnail
Some of these are really great, good colours, interesting places. But is it just me or is the horizon not level in all of them?

Hi. I have just reread "Cannery Row" by John Steinbeck in which he describes the Monterey region with great eloquence. Terrific to put a picture to his words. Pebble beach reminds me of a place on the South Island of New Zealand where the locals have stacked rocks and pebbles in a similar manner all along the beach front. Thanks for posting

First one is my fav. I like how you framed the picture frame and book on the other side of the window. Makes it interesting! Nice job.

Well done Susan love the cost shots ,really need to take that drive sometime. Pebble beach Golf Course comes at a premium , I was there back in '87 and if I remember correctly it was almost $200 round and I don't think that included the cart - 25 years later I am sure the prices have gone up. Plus the odds of getting a walk on are well very slim (unless you name is Tiger) .....

Thanks for the input Na. The last beach horizon is a bit off after looking at it some more. Have to fix it. The rest show straight when I overlay a grid but the curving beach makes it really hard to tell. I'll have to look at them a little closer also. I do tend to shoot everything crooked.
Dave, the cost is up to about $500 a round now. Not sure if you can use a cart; they may have to caddies only but I am not really sure about that.
Thanks Bruce, nkk, reala and Bob for having a look and commenting. Appreciate it.

#1 just works for me, the rest tell a story but your first is the most artistic.

Simple but effective, I like it.
