Family day in Algonquin Park..
Photo Location: Algonquin Park, Ontario Canada

Algonquin Park recently had it's first ever Wild Weekend on Family Day, which is the same day a Presidents Day in the US. We had 6 house guests for the weekend, and I'm finally recovering and getting pictures posted. he things is, with six house guests, there's always new food being brought out, there's always new bottles of wine and beers being opened, but there's not much time to think about what you're doing with your life and doing important things like posting pictures on the forum.

Waiting in line to go to the Visitors Center storeroom

The store room

The snow shoe hike

up on the ridge

Winter campers

Snow shoe hike 2

Saying goodbye and heading home after great weekend...

OK, I always thought people who liked snow were a little crazy, those tenters just go to prove I'm right. Glad you had a nice time but it really doesn't look like fun for a southerner. You might want to post a photo or two of the beer and wine.

You're thinking this out all wrong Sue, cold isn't a problem, being poorly dressed is a problem, notice what I'm wearing in the pic below... I had to take my coat off and cool down a bit, it was too hot.

Unfortunately I have no kitchen table pictures, I was too busy drinking beer.... maybe next time.

I am in complete agreement with Susan, but I enjoyed viewing the photos here in Palm Springs where temps are in the 80's and a coat is not required.

Well, I guess I shouldn't expect southerners to understand.... anyway, maybe the pictures will give off enough chill to cool you guys down a bit. The sun is so hot on days like this, guys find a sheltered spot and strip down to T-shirts and short to sun bathe...
