Not as common as the Mallard but still quite common over here. Have not seen much in my own neighbourhood though, to my surprise a small flock was swimming in the pond close to my home.

Not meaning to sound stupid, but is the color in the second added, or is it a reflection of something?
I think I like the third best - the bird seems to be moving into the frame rather than centered in frame.

It's a reflection, somewhat surprised with the result also because the moment I shot that picture I was concentrating on the ducks. I noticed the light around them but not so much the reflections in the water.

Love the first and second ones the best. Nice reflections in them and the color of the water in #2 was a nice bit of serendipity.
