Les Paul
Posted By: Tyler, 01-05-2008, 01:58 PM

One of my guitars.

50mm f2 @ f4 1/15s ISO400

How does the color balance look? I think I might need to recalibrate my monitor.

I've always wanted to try this lighting diagram thing out so here it is. Simple light. I really need another flash for this but it will do for now.

It looks quite decent on my monitor. The yellow is the syrupy golden, and the red is 2 shades towards orange from fairground candy appy red. I was in a music shop yesterday buying a new set of Fender Bullet light strings for my Strat and stood right next to your guitar's twin. The Les Paul is a worth weapon.
I like the photo shoot studio setup picture you posted. Is this a program, or are you just extremely talented and creative.

Nice axe and a great photo. I've always loved what people can do with a Les Paul, even though I am (was) a sax and keyboard player.

I used this Lighting Setup Tools - FM Forums and thanks for the comment. I have Strat as well, but it doesn't get as much use as the les paul. I find I like playing with a fixed bridge more than a trem.

Thanks for the comment. I only know one thing on keyboard; the intro to Jump by Van Halen

That guitar shot is very nice indeed ... nice DOF ... awesome colours ... pin sharp for the in-focus area. Well done.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm going to shoot some more tomorrow and I'll be sure to post results.

oooh .. cool.

I should get some as well ... my Brother-in-Law has a collection of guitars from what he used to be in a band ... has them all hanging on a custom made rack on the wall.

I have ideas now ... may spend some time with them ... and see what I can come up with.
