Texas Has Cows.....
Camera: Fuji X10 Photo Location: Texas ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/750s Aperture: F8

....lot's of cows! We are maybe better known for dumb politicians and big haired ladies, but cows are more plentiful than either....and maybe even smarter?

I like to shoot cows.....they are always eating, and I guess we share that trait. I don't eat grass and hay, but don't deny I would probably try it...I'll try most anything if it is dead or moving slow.

Otis laughs at my little X10 and calls it a "filthy little toy camera"...but I kind of like it, and it is handy for stopping on the side of the road to shoot cows......being small, it doesn't intimidate them either!
Regards!

Of course Texas has cows. Longhorns remember? I didn't know Texas had trees. Are they new? When we lived in Amarillo we had to drive 350 miles to see a tree.

The longhorn has a very noticeable asymmetry of the horns and head, but seems to be looking direct at the camera.

Was the real animal that asymmetric or was that some effect arising from the imaging?

Not the ones in my yard, which tend to drop botanical detritus continuously. The drought did a job on our foundation though (despite continual watering), which is going to cost me a few bucks for sure.
