I posted this photo of Cut Time's feckless - er, I mean fearless - skipper facing the bitterness of winter on the new forum. I felt this evidence of human strength and courage should be shared more widely - and thus post it here as well.

Warm here too! We also got a nice rain a couple of weeks back, and we have boats on the lake again for the first time in ages. Of course, I believe you have more water than we do!

Nice winter this was.....except for a few days we missed it all! Enjoy yourself down there, and drink one for me and Otis....maybe two for Otis?
Regards!

Hey Bob - after all those years in Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee and Michigan, I can tell you that this is the way to experience winter!

Dave - I've been retired almost exactly three years, and I'm not bored yet. I miss doing science, but dealing with all the corporate milieu is a great thing to put astern.

At least two for Otis, Rupert, for sure. Yeah this has been an especially warm winter - which I've thoroughly enjoyed. I can tell you from experience that the happiest day of a man's life is not when he sells his boat, but sells his snowblower.

Norbert - it did take guts, but . . . . . . somebody had to do it.

Susan - I'm used to sailing with danger lurking behind the next wave :roll eyes:.
