I really like it when I'm driving along and spot something interesting - like this moose.

It was quite a way off and the day was very grey and gloomy so the image isn't top quality by a long shot. I have cropped it quite a bit too.

Maybe next time I'l have some light!!

I think you did well under, what looks to be very poor conditions, well done.

You know, I don't recall ever seeing an action shot of a moose. They usually just stand around and eat. Great capture under those conditions. Love how he kicking up the snow.

What a great shot - especially in the dim light. Like Susan, I'm not sure I've ever seen a photo of a rapidly moving moose. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen a rapidly moving moose at all. Nice job.

The generous words here have put a grin on my face. I agree with you that moose are mostly just standing around feeding - this one got camera shy and decided to leave. I wasn't sure of the best way to set my camera as there was very little light. I chose wide open and I think 1/4000 because I find it very challenging to hand hold the big Sigma.
