What a curious-looking blackbird. I like the second picture most of all, the position of the beak is best I think, though the wings are nice in the third picture. Out of curiosity, why did you put an ISO of 1000 and a shutter speed of 1/3000s? I would have thought that a ISO a couple of stops lower and two stops slower shutter speed would have frozen movement in the same way but with less noise (though at ISO 1000 the k-5 sensor performs very well). Was it just that those were the settings you happened to be shooting when this opportunity presented itself, or is there another reason?
