Just a few Redpolls.....
Lens: Bigma Camera: K 5 Photo Location: Our backyard ISO: 400 Aperture: F8
Posted By: Heinrich Lohmann, 03-06-2012, 11:35 PM

.......our backyard is full of birds but they are usually either in deep shade or harsh sunlight. Last night we had a big dump of snow, just after I was done cleaning the driveway and the walks the sun tried to come out but was still behind light cloud and was just reflecting of the snow a bit, in other words real good light. I went inside, put Bigma on the K-5 and got a few shots before the weather changed again.

I did find out though that Bigma had gained weight, it was way heavier than when I bought it.

Wow, those are beautiful and incredible. I just love them. The second and third ones are my favorite.

In the first, is that a type of plastic bird feeder? or a knit bag of seeds or something? Thanks for sharing these.

Very nice, Heinrich - crystalline, sharp and perfect photos of a bird I've never seen. Maybe they don't come here given our high sales tax . Great shots.

Heinrich, these are wonderful to view, the clarity and color gives me the feeling I can reach out and touch them. You better start using that combo more, I have a feeling spring will really bring the birds out there.

Thank you for the kind comments, the feeder is a cloth bag filled with Nyjer seed, The bags are sold filled with seed but I do refill them.

Take care,
