Saguaro NP, Arizona
Camera: K-7
Posted By: slowpez, 03-07-2012, 09:15 AM

We are still in Tucson and I am still using the K-7 in these shots but the K-5 arrives tomorrow so I will post more then.
This is a wonderful park and the saguaro makes a wonderful foreground for lots of shots.
I am going to save all the brilliantly colored sunsets for a separate post. The colors in this park at night are just too much to be believed.

Nice! Saguaro are certainly the most impressive of the cacti... have you been to the desert museum just west of Tucson? Well worth it for the variety they have planted.

Beautifully taken photos Susan, the setting sun really enhances the desert.
I also like the way you captured the spines of the barrel cactus, great job.

Thanks Jim. We did get to the Arizona Desert Museum. I posted some photos from there around the first of this month if you want to have a look.

Wish we could have gotten up to Sabino. We had planned on it but for some reason that I no longer remember, we never made it. There is a lifetime of things to do in Tucson.
These photos were all taken toward the end of November 2011 when we were on our way back from Alaska. Sometimes I write like we are still there but sadly we are not.
