Ridin' the Roadster - More Time on My Hands with a Fish Eye
Posted By: Sailor, 01-06-2008, 05:45 PM

Today, it was 80 F in Lake Jackson, so we pulled out the 'Speed and took a cruise. My better half (for 39 years) was at the wheel (I almost said "helm" but caught myself) so I was able to grab some shots with my DA 10-17. Not all that creative, I'm afraid, but the best I could do on my first try with this sort of thing.

Connie at the wheel (drives me nuts - she never revs the mill enought to spin up the turbo); also note Texas Lexus on the left (i.e. Jeep):

Cruisin' down our street:

Into the sun:

Finally, two rear-view shots:

Sweet ! I am well into Fisheye envy now and am going to have to something about it soon. The slef portrait is a classic - Like the sun flare are well. Nice series.

Nice shots!

Oh, I so miss good weather! Our winterized, mouse-proofed roadster (MGB) is in the garage for the winter, surrounded by tons of cold, white stuff.

Are there any cheap or economical fish eyes? I love the results you got with yours.

Thanks all. I love this FE zoom. People also use the Zenitar to very good effect.

Regarding the self portrait, my wife suggested the message on the mirror should read, "THE OBJECT IN THE MIRROR IS EVEN DUMBER THAN IT APPEARS."
