I agree with Bob and Bruce, that flower photo is outstanding, love the light and detail. Really like the squirrel and birds also. I just may have to get that Sigma 70-300.

Wonderful images, Tess! I especially love the patient chickadee! The flower is exquisite, too! Thank you for sharing these.

All are colorful, crisp and pleasing, tess. The flower is an eye opener with its bright colors.

Whatever you are doing with the processing...keep doing it! These are superb. The first one is a stunner, but of course, Otis says the Squirrel is the finest. I'm gonna say the Flower and the Goldfinch are my favorites, but it is really too close to call.
Want to share any tips on your processing? Excellent!

Regards!

Thank you Bruce! I took a dozen photos of this flower and it is the first one I took that turned out, all the rest had depth of field issues.

Thanks Lori, this is the first time I've taken pictures of birds at a feeder and I really enjoyed the experience. It seems some of us never tire of bird pictures

Thanks so much canajuneh... I was astounded with the beauty of the flower sitting in the sun beside my grandmother's chair. What an opportunity!

haha Rupert! I am so happy to read yours and otis' thoughts! I use Aperture 3 for pp and did not have to do much to these shots... levels, sharpening and definition in places. The flower I did practically nothing to except levels as anything I tried ruined it... thank you again! (p.s. as soon as I can I am going to put a few doggie photos together for you)

Great series Tess #1 has a translucent property and for dirty glass the bird shots come out great.
