Toy Bull?
Camera: Fuji X10 Photo Location: Texas ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/350s Aperture: F5
Posted By: Rupert, 03-13-2012, 07:30 PM

Since I shot this with the X10, and in Digital Zoom mode at 228mm, Otis claims it can't be a real bull, so it must be a "toy bull"?
I'm pretty sure that if I brought it home for Otis' inspection, he would change his mind pretty fast?
Regards!

I wonder what his parents looked like? Maybe they looked as confused as his hide?

There is a story about an old bull and a young bull. .............................

Sorry, I can't post the rest of it here.

I think this young bull has listened to the old bull.

Looks like an Australian sheepdog with horns. He is so laid back though he must be a Texan.

Looks a lot like our indigenous Nguni breed. They are usually smaller then your Angus or Hereford breeds, but very fertile and hardy. Their hides are used in making handbags carpets etc.

Thanks all for looking! These are fascinating animals that prefer brushy terrain over open range. They are mild mannered, but don't want you to get too close. I love shooting them whenever I get a chance!
