More Hummer
Lens: SMC 67 90mm Camera: K5 Photo Location: SoCal ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: 1/350s Aperture: F5.6

This Hummer guards the feeder most of the day. Occasionally he'll let a female or two feed. His throat, depending on lighting is sometimes fluorescent orange, sometimes gold. He's quite the bully when another male arrives!
This is just a small crop of the whole shot.

Den, aren't these fun birds to observe, very pretty brown you captured and I always enjoy seeing a hummer sitting and relaxed. They guard the feeders and yet don't feed too much when I have observed them. Thanks for the thread, I enjoyed the view. Bob
BTW, we are in the middle of a hummingbird migration here in AZ by the Colorado River and often have over 20 birds feeding at once.
