Spring Break at the Kemah Boardwalk
Camera: Panasonic LX5 Photo Location: Kemah, TX
Posted By: Sailor, 03-19-2012, 07:43 AM

My shooting has slowed to the point I barely remember how to use a camera, but I did manage to grab some snapshots while our granddaughter spent a couple of nights with us aboard Cut Time. Here are three pics - taken through glass from the the Boardwalk Tower - of the Kemah Boardwalk in full swing last Friday afternoon during spring break. I've never seen it so crowded, but we had a delightful afternoon, nonetheless.

Half of Houston seems to be here:

Part of the Boardwalk sits right on Galveston Bay:

Looking west up the Kemah Channel - our boat is docked in a marina about a half mile up the channel on the south shore of Clear Lake:

Looks a stunning area there, beautifully captured particularly in the last shot.

Looks like a fun place to visit Jer, where are the Girls Gone Wild. Very nice shots and it does look like a cool place to take a stroll and have a brew. Where is all the boat traffic?

Very nice images Jer, especially the last one. Looks like a lot of fun but sort of busy, thanks for posting them.

My wife wouldn't allow me to photograph the girls gone wild.

Thanks, my friend. We have a bunch of fun, but it was - indeed - very crowded.
