These old Coke bottles were spotted on a hotel back bar....Cliff

Great catch, Cliff. A couple of those Coke bottles predate me - which means they must be old, indeed.

Yep, the red is somewhat faded and the shaped look all came after the first bottle 1899-1902 is 2 nd from the left .......Cliff
I found a timeline of the bottle shape until we got into plastic, PIC as follows

That '57 model brings back memories - I was 11 years old and getting a Coke was a major treat!

Great capture Cliff! I have never seen a coke bottle shaped like that first one in your shot. My grandparent collected these but I am sure that one eluded them. Thanks for sharing this interesting image and the history as well!

Prior to 1957, the Coke bottles were imprinted on the bottom with a Coke bottling plant ie Lubbock Tx, Bishop Ca, etc, and we would determine who bought by seeing who pulled the bottle with the farthest city/bottling plant from where we were Sometime you drank for free and sometime you paid. Just a bit of nostalgia... Cliff
