Looking for the elusive Alberta spring
Lens: Tamaron 70-200 Camera: K5 Photo Location: Sherwood Park ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F4.5

Have not posted much here , I think the root cause is I have not got out much - brutal time of year colorless , dirty , cold and wet. Did manage to at least leave the house with camera in tow today for a bit and spotted this guy looking longingly for warmer days as well , soon my little friend, soon.

Dave - this is one of the most interesting and well-done photos I've seen lately. The unbelievably crisp bird house (?) and bird against the bleak, amorphous background = terrific. The lack of color adds to the mood. Super job.

Nicely done, Dave. Maybe you need to move farther north so that you don't have to even think about spring till later...

Hi Dave, Jer is right this is a very well done photo and thank you for posting it. As far as Spring goes, it'll come but this is Alberta and just because it did look like it was around the corner, as we all know doesn't mean much around here.

Very nicely done Dave, and you got to love that birdhouse, who wouldn't want to live there. No matter what the weather is

The roof appears to need a little repair but I agree it's a mansion for that fellow.

Thanks Tom cold here yesterday but 'they' are saying double digits this week with all days on the right side of zero and we all know 'they' are only wrong 7 out of 10 times with a +/- variance of no more than 50%

Thanks Susan . sometimes it's the simple shots that surprise you , this was taken about 20 steps from my front door.
