Lens: pentax 35mm f2.4 smc DA AL Camera: pentax k-r Photo Location: wales ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/4s Aperture: F22

this was taken on a recent trip to mid wales. it was very tricky to get the blur of the water as i had to use a slower shutter speed. hte problem was it was extremely bright so some of the pics had the sky over exposed. any tips on shooting waterfalls on a bright day would be appreciated i know i could probably get the sky back in photoshop as i shot in RAW but i try to avoid using photoshop.

Can't see anything here Kev, but based on your comments you need an ND filter to be able to hit a low enough shutter speed. for Blown out skies a graduated ND is useful (though in many cases a Polariser will achieve what you need. none of these filters can be replaced by photoshop really.

for ND filter examples checkout this thread
