Thanks everyone!

I would have loved to be able to say it was a chopper....

But truth be said, the shot was taken from the edge of one of the mountains near the airfield.

Big brother to my Swiss Army Knife - even has the same trade marks.

Is a cool shot- how big a lens?

That's a great catch! One rarely sees a fighter from this direction. Well done tech-wise too.

Next, vessels from the Swiss Navy?

Shot with my Sigma 120-400 at the full 400mm's.

What's next? Definately no Swiss Navy, but another Hornet shot is no problem (1/400, f/9, ISO80, 180mm):

Neither is one of an EC-635 helicopter (1/50, f/13, ISO80, 400mm):

Both also with the Sigma 120-400 on the K-5.

Hans.

I love the way both of these machines seem to leap out from their background - having the focus dead-on sure helps. Great shots - including the first one that started the thread.....

My favourite is in fact the backlit b&w shot - great image and a sure candidate for the Aircraft site - but you may already be a member. Airliners.net | Airplanes - Aviation - Aircraft- Aircraft Photos & News
