My Once-A-Year Flower Photo
Lens: DA 70/2.4 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Backyard ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F8

I lack the patience - not to mention the ability - to do photographic justice to flowers. And - since a number of folks capture flowers so well - I generally see no reason for me to do so. However, I did grab a pic of what my wife tells me is a red amaryllis still wet after a downpour; I thought these things were only pink and white. The flower later opened, but it was so windy I was unable to get anything worth keeping without ripping the flower from its element (which I was forbidden to do). So - this is my flower shot for 2012.

Nice one Jer.

The DA70 realy shines here.

A lot of jabber in other threads about this lens and the FA77 of late.

Kind of make me wonder if folks have really looked at the images this lens is capeable of in good hands.

Hey thanks, Tom. I don't know (or - to be honest - care) what others think, but this little lens works for me.

Maybe I should turn over a new leaf, Capn.
