Fantastic capture, Bob! You had perfect timing on this shot. Beautiful colors, too. I think I can feel the heat over here.
thanks Lori, this guy was a lot of fun and quite a comedian too. For this shot I was almost on the stage. Take care, Bob

Fantastic capture, Bob. Way to catch the decisive moment. Love the rendering from the FA43, too.
This is just down the road from you Nate, the 43 is my favorite lens, great for landscapes too.

Good thing the Charcoal lighter fuel tastes so bad or my grandsons would be trying that!
So what was the occasion/location?
Den, the photo was from a Renaissance Faire we attended with family in CO., lots of fun. We had 4 of our 7 grandkids with us.

Ah, this answers my question - the backdrop looked like a stage set, and the costume looked like something from a renaissance faire. Fabulous shot, Bob!

As others have already said - Perfect timing Bob. Great shot.
Did he happen to tell you what it is he uses as "fuel" - as I've always wondered what kind of product you'd allow in your mouth that could produce flames like that. After getting a mouthful of diesel fuel once many, many years ago, I can't imagine anyone INTENTIONALLY filling their mouth with a petroleum product!

He may have said what he used Tim, but he spoke with a gravelly, parched voice and hard to understand what he was saying.

I'll have to find a website to keep track of when there will be one near here. I hoped to see a demonstration of jousting years ago, but one of the riders had recently lost his horse, and the new one was not used to the weight of the rider with armour. Instead, he stood on the ground while the other knight broke a lance on him. Wish I'd had a K7 that day! I did have the MZ5 at the time, but I think I had run out of film.
