CC, are you sure you don't have a Arboretum and Bird Sanctuary next to you, you always find such beautiful birds, plant life and grounds to photograph?

I feel lucky to be living so close to such an area, If my skills were a bit better & perhaps a slightly longer lens there would be a lot more to show. Its also right under the northern approach to a Essendon Airport and the rail trestle bridge crosses the valley, can always find something to shoot.
I tried to sneak up on these Crested Pigeons & Rosella but they were well on to me!
and if anyone knows what the second one is....

Nice series CeeCee. Don't see these species around here so can't help with the identification.

thanks for the kind words Susan, I'm now pretty sure now that it's a "Black Shouldered Kite"

Hi,
The first B & W is the top photo. Excellent used "chaos" aquatic grass, lights and finally PP in b & w.

thank you for your comments Velja, I also like the first shot, partly because of it's B&W look, but it is actually a color shot, I didn't process it very much, just a slight adjustment to curves, I will try it in B&W to see what its like, cheers.
