Down at the farm.
Posted By: Falcons, 01-12-2008, 02:18 AM

took the kids down to the Landsdale Farm School - thought I would share some of the things that caught my eye. So rather than the obligatory animal pics here is what I saw.

All taken with Pentax 16-45 shot in jpeg - comments welcome.

Fantastic! Clever juxtaposition of the first two shots. The feather looks great -- what a shame you didn't use extension tubes for the close up (never mind, bit of a Pentax Forums "in" joke, there). Tha patterns in the water with that rocky bottom is almost mesmerising, very nice composition too, I think it works well with the main ripple origin being near the centre.

Yes, I think the feather is a great shot (let us in on the joke Steve. Been here a while and must have forgotten).

The ripple shot could probably use a little cropping to make it even better.

The shots we see when we look beyond - that IS photography.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Just curious about the extension tubes bit - I'll have to look into how those things actually work.

Well, not a joke really, but in the past few weeks there have been a surprising number of threads in this Post your photos! forum where people have bought themselves extension tubes and have posted first pics, or have dug them out of the cupboard for some shots; there hadn't been too many up until now. I was probably a bit obscure!

I like 'em all - but the ripple shot is really special. These photos have something special; they're genuinely fun to look at!
