Nice series. They take their job seriously, and should. I was on the steps and got a different angle when I was there.

Thank you for your kind words. I must say, my $1700 JC Penney 135mm f2.8 is worth every penny!
Yes, they take their job extremely seriously. The precision and the complexity of their gestures was amazing. I understand it's a huge honor to be one of the guards there.

This is an experience I will never forget. I felt honored to be able to view the changing of the guard, a very solemn experience that brought tears to my eyes. You got some great shots here, great perspectives and a pleasure to view. thanks Bob

$1700? JCPenney is coming back as the new Zeiss . Excellent results no matter the lens though.

I was kidding, of course. It was $45 shipped--and only because it was new ('new old stock').

Oh, I was assuming it was $17.00 and you forgot the period. That's a keeper.

Nice shots! I was there in mid-March on a cool, rainy, Saturday with family from TN. We all enjoyed watching the changing of the guard. We were on the opposite from you. Funny thing is, I saw 4 or 5 people taking pictures with iPads in the rain.
