Sitting on back patio swatting them with a tennis racket (they are literally eating me out of house and home) and noticed how sometimes if I sat really still they would hover in front of me. Instead of smacking him I went inside, got my camera and after a about 30 minutes of failed shots managed to capture one that hovered just long enough for me to compose a decent shot.

Spectacular, and nature definitely can have a targeted and difficult streak. Insects, humans, wood...

"Outta my way" said the Bee! Good thing you had something to swat it with although the score is probably 40/love in favor of the bees

Really great capture. You definitely must "seize the day" when an opportunity arises.

Good job! I too chase these dang bees with a tennis racket! I can go out and within 5 minutes and nail about ten of them at any given time, they are everywhere. My wife has been chasing them around with the K-x she inherited from me, I am going to try and get one with a catch in focus set on my K-5
