Very nice colors. Are these post-processed and did you use a tripod ?

Thanks for looking. The photos are pretty much a shot. I used Picasa to do some minor work such as brightening and cropping some. All were shot handheld. There were plenty of rails and such to use to lean against. I believe that I had image stabilization turned off.

Very cool. I don't have a bigma but seeing the size of one I'm always wondering how hard it is to shoot handheld with one as I don't like to carry tripod around.

It is big and takes some practice to use. I also have the 170-500 and a Tamron 70-200, both of which are also pretty heavy so I've had some practice with similar lenses (the Bigma weighs a little over a pound more than the other two.)

Very nice shots, and that great Bigma color! I find that using SR and hand holding is very effective 90% of the time with the Bigma. It can bring hours of joy and satisfaction when shooting wildlife, and at a price most can afford. If I could only keep one lens, it would have to be the Bigma. It shoots wide, it shoots long, and it shoots everywhere in between, even wide open, it performs well.

Regards! & Happy Bigma Shooting!

It certainly helps having the high ISO capability of the K5 to be able to get a high shutter speed. I am enjoying the lens so far. The big test will be tomorrow when I use it to shoot soccer. I'll take it and the tamron 70-200. I hope to use the Bigma while the sun is out and switch to the tamron when the lights are turned on.

Sure didn't take you long to learn how to use the lens Rick. Can't wait to see your soccer shots.
