It's a sad day today
Posted By: daacon, 04-16-2012, 10:35 AM

April 16th , 2012 one of dearest family members was taken from us. He had been suffering for a while and it's the hardest decision I have ever had to make, but I know in my heart it was the right one. Jack has provided us with almost 17 years of memories and love. He is in a better place now and we will all miss him dearly.

Please accept my heart felt sympathy for you and your family on this sad day. The older I get the more I remember the animals I once had in my life. You can get yourself another pet but they always have their own special place in out hearts which cannot be replaced.

Accept my condolences. I have had several dogs as part of my life and the unconditional love they give is amazing. And when they leave, there is a hollow place left behind.

I am so sorry for your loss. It has been over 8 years since I lost my last dog, and in a way I still have not gotten over it. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Also know that (I am sure you do) your doggy was very lucky to have had a caring owner like you.

My heart goes out to you and yours Dave, I've had to do the same in the past and it is always a gut wrenching decison, even tho it is the correct one. May your memories of your friend and companion always be pleasant ones.

Oh, Dave! These types of threads are so gut wrenching. I'm so very sorry. Jack was a beautiful boy and obviously very loved. You gave him a wonderful life with you and your family. I try to remember that in these times, and it helps me some, but nothing but time can ease the pain.

RIP Jack

Thanks for all the kinds words ,it is truly appreciated. I know many of you have gone through this, it's a first for me. He outlasted all the other dogs in our immediate family and his memory will not be forgotten. I imagine today he is running fast and free as he once did, in an open field , sun shining down on him chasing the wind.
