Red Admirals and Question Mark
Lens: Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro Camera: Pentax K-r Photo Location: Ontario, Canada ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F8

Yesterday morning the red admirals reached us. They're migratory, and must have finished their journey across Lake Ontario early in the morning or the evening prior. There are dozens of them around right now, and they swarmed the little cherry tree here. A single question mark joined them in the afternoon.

I'm so glad the bugs are back!

Very nice set, especially the third and fourth pictures. The fourth shot is a winner, even with the foreground branches making a big "V"

The Red Admirals are migrating through Central New York right now. There was one on my driveway desperately trying to warm up this morning.

My yard is just about the perfect stop over place. It is loaded with fresh Dandelions.

Thanks! I like that one too, but I'm also partial to the first one.

Makes sense, they'll be all over for awhile. Yesterday was the first we saw any here. Nice shots!
