I remember first seeing this lovely flower in the Big Bend area. Didn't know what is was at first - thought it was monk's hood seen in Alaska (a poisonous little thing).

Very nice. It seems the bluebonnets were peaking about a month ago - I only see a few straggers now. We enjoyed them a lot this year
