Dove--- through the window.
Lens: 18-250 Pentax Camera: K5 Photo Location: Saugus Ma. ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/350s Aperture: F8
Posted By: charliezap, 04-24-2012, 06:45 AM

I'm not a big fan of shooting through a closed window but the dove would have taken off If I had put the window down.He was about 12ft away and stuck around for a few minutes. The 2nd pic is the obligatory K5 filter shot.--charliezap

That first shot really captures the softness of a dove all fluffed out against the chill. He's having a good stretch in that third one. Nice series, Charlie.

Cool shot and like the mode photos too. My favorite bird next to the hummingbird and vulture. Who cleans the windows, nice job?

When the subject is willing it makes it a lot easier to catch a keeper.I'm still waiting for "Buzz" the h-bird to return.--charliezap

Nice job, Charlie! Any time I walk by a window or door, I see those guys fly off in a huff! I've not managed to get a decent pic of one yet! These are really nice.

Thanks Lori.Today is a decent day and I'm going to play with my 2x extender(keep it clean) on my 55-300 Pentax.I got it just to have one several years ago and now I'll shoot around the house today and see what it can do.Hopefully I'll have something worthwhile to post later.--charliezap
