In Indonesia we have exactly the same plant. Are this a typical plant at where this photo was taken?

oh wow, what a gorgeous flower and excellent photo! I love the bokeh in the back ground and the buds and fronds too...nice job

Thanks all. minahasa, the tree is fairly common here, sometimes even referred to as being invasive. I think it is native to Persia. Grows wild here, but some people use them in landscaping.

Must be one hell of a plant to be able to adapt at different weather

Very nice. Really crisp, good colors too. That's a pretty nice macro lens.
