Very beautiful scenes and compositions. I love the perspectives/angles you have used and the contrasting colours.

I've been to many tropical countries but I've never actually seen the sterotypical palm tree on a white sandy beach leaning over blue seas - your first shot makes me very jealous.

I like the coconut on the beach concept but I think your shot would be improved by not zooming in so tight and having more of the beautiful beach and water visible around it.

The DA14 is actually no zoom lens

Here is a making of picture:

Zoom in was probably the wrong choice of words, I probably should have just said "not being in so tight"

I tried to get as close as possible to get the effect you see ("the big looking coconut")

I know what you're trying to say, but there was nothing around worth to be captured too, just
have a look at the making of pic

Great series, I ended up not getting the da14 but these shots are some of the better I have seen from it IQ wise. The polirizer makes for nice colors in the strong sun as well. Very nicely processed, very postcard like.

What a great series! I love travel shots like these! That lens does a beautiful job, too. BTW - I like the closeup on the coconut!

I actually like the shot as it is because of the unusual perspective it provide. It is bold, it pops, it is in your face, it is without any doubt about the coconut, the beach is just the backdrop.

Shot #5 have a similar feel as #3.

I love the color on #6.

As I sit at my computer dressed in sweater, the wind wiping snow to a frenzy outside and with cold feet beneath my desk, I dream of warm clear water and gentle breezes, the rustle of palm leaves and the wash of salt water on white sand beaches. Thanks for the excellent viewing pleasure.

I personally liked the tight shot of the coconut. It could be shot a number of ways but this one worked for me.

beautiful composition; that coconut shot rules! Great to see the shot of the making of the shot.
