These are some snapshots I took of a rare car I spotted on the way to the local velodrome. It's probably 1935 or 1936 and was the hottest Singer made. It's obvious that this car is used hard, which I think is a good thing. It's being kept alive and used for its original purpose instead of being left to die in a museum as an exhibit. I think it's had a few mods. e.g. I don't think the original shocks would have been telescopic, hydraulic.
Triple windscreen wipers. Fold-down windscreen backed up by individual, adjustable screens. This thing is a classic. Lots of mud and a few scratches, too
Note the plastic pipe running from the temperature gauge on the top of the radiator. That is definitely not original. And the driver's door looks like it doesn't close fully.
Two spare wheels? Cool. Exhaust pipe is definitely not original. See the carb intakes sticking out on the left?
Carb detail - looks like twin SUs. Oh the fun of balancing those
Richard.
