Rainy day goldfinch
Lens: 100mm wr Camera: K5
Posted By: charliezap, 05-05-2012, 06:35 AM

I had to shoot through the window which I'm averse to but good thing my wife keeps them clean. It's been cloudy and damp since Monday but the sun should be out tommorrow--we'll see.The 2nd shot is with the K5's posertization mode.--charliezap

Hey Capn - I like how the bird and perch pop out from the background. Nice job - hope you see the sun tomorrow.

Good going - I love how the background colors provide a great, colorful tapestry in the first shot.
IMO, the posterization isn't really an improvement.
Thanks for sharing.

The 2nd shot is just a different look.I wasn't that crazy about it either but it's fun trying varied looks with the K5.--charliezap

Hi Tess. The window does affect the IQ but sometimes it isn't too bad depending on the circumstances.----charliezap
