Seeing a lot of these guys in the area of late. Not the most colourful bird but in the right light...

Nice pic. However, it's a female Agelaius phoeniceus (Red-winged Blackbird), not Melospiza melodia.

You're right, of course, Pete.

It would make sense as there are a lot of Red Wing Black birds (Males) in the area.
