My Hummers have finally arrived
Posted By: charliezap, 05-05-2012, 06:44 PM

I was like a kid in a candy store.I was in the front yard and heard the bee buzz sound and there he was. There was eventually 2 of them and they were having a feeding frenzy well after the street lights came on.I was switching lenses left and right and had the window open and they were at times only an arms length away.I'll have to look at the exif data to see what lens I was using at the time.I'm so excited that I think I'll need a red solo cup or 2 to calm down.---charliezap

Great shots. Well done. I don't know what happened to my hummers this year. I saw one a few days ago, but it was like he was stopping by for a drink and moving on. Haven't seen him since. They were here last year at this time.

If these guys remain active like they were today Bob there is going to be many "kodak moments"--charliezap

Showtime! Your feeder looks like a big red solo cup for hummers.

Hopefully I'll have a very active year with the feeder.I may move it to the sun side of the house so that I won't have to use the flash that much or maybe put up another feeder.--charliezap

These are all wonderful, Charlie! I have yet to get a hummingbird shot approaching any of these. Great work! I'll have to dust off the 55-300 and try again soon. I have seen one so far this year....
