Me too, and usually I bounce back here from looking at Rense's macro pictures. You are setting the bar too high!

Fine set. I especially like the synchronized flyers in the second photo. Took somewhat similar photos about 40 years back from the rear of a ferry - M and I taking turns with the camera versus tossing up Fritos. When we used that ferry again recently there were very stiff fines if you're caught feeding gulls (about $500 as I recall). Aside from sanitation problems, the gulls eventually got bold enough to swoop & snatch at sandwiches, hats, or anything that caught their fancy, including things in the hands of small children. Fines for feeding wild animals of any kind are ubiquitous now in "The States."

#2 made me do a double-take. The 2 birds in the foreground have their wings and heads positioned almost identically. I took a closer look to check whether the birds were cloned during editing.

Rense, dag gonnit, we are on vacation and I just don't have time to do more than scan some of the latest photos on this site then I saw these. I just can't get over them. Fantastic is too tame a word. The first four especially. Wonderful.

I like this lens very much, I would recommend it, but you'll have to find use for it... It's not 'my natural length', I like it a bit longer. But after all the Tamron is on my camera quite often...

It looks like you used it at 22mm (33mm eqiv) and F9 so it was at the long end to avoid making the birds look distorted if used at the short 10mm (15mm eqiv) end. I seldom use my 10-24mm in mid range FL (16mm) and use it mostly at 10mm or 24mm FL but your shots show how great it is just short of the 24mm long end.
